Why your coating needs a 6-month health check

A graphene or ceramic coating doesn’t fail overnight. It fades quietly: water starts to sheet a little slower, dust clings a little more, and the gloss loses some of its depth. By the time most owners notice, the coating has been underperforming for months.

That’s why every NexusOne coating comes with scheduled health checks, typically at 6 and 12 months. They keep your protection working and your warranty valid.

What we check

  • Water behaviour: how tightly water beads and how quickly it sheets off each panel
  • Surface feel: any roughness from bonded contamination such as tar, iron fallout, or tree sap
  • Wear zones: lower doors, bumpers, and the bonnet edge, where grit hits hardest
  • Any signs of etching from bird droppings or hard-water spots

What happens next

If the coating is performing well, we decontaminate and give it a gentle top-up. If an area is weakening, we treat that zone before it spreads. Every check is recorded against your Warranty Card, because your warranty is only as strong as your maintenance record.

Between checks

Wash with a pH-neutral shampoo, avoid automatic brush washes, and remove bird droppings quickly. Our premium foam wash is designed exactly for coated cars.
